Hurricane Energy Turret Buoy

During the summer of 2018 Shetland Maritime was engaged as Hurricane Energy Marine Advisor in Lerwick, Shetland. Primarily, this involved the mooring of the Turret Buoy for the FPSO Aoka Mizu to be stationed in the Lancaster Field, West of Shetland. Final preparations were completed whilst the buoy was alongside in Lerwick. We were able to provide such services as 24-hour security watch, workboat, light fabrication, etc. On completion of these works we acted as towmaster for the tow to south entrance of Lerwick harbour and transfer of tow to anchor handlers for tow to Lancaster Field. We then transferred to anchor handler and continued the tow as Hurricane Energy Marine Representative for the installation of the buoy at Lancaster.

In October 2018 we were engaged as Marine Representative on board the rock-dumper ‘Simon Stevin’ installing rock protection over the two flowlines in the Lancaster Field
